Happy 11th Year Birthday OMC/BYA!

The community members, Current Advisors, Board of Directors & Officers, former BODs and Officers and core members who have been continuously supporting us, it has been a great journey for all of us. We have made progress each year by working together, helping each other and learning from each other.

Our journey started in 2007 with a group of friends who wanted to see the unity among the community and promote our culture by helping and working with other organizations. Later we obtain our 501©3 non-profit status. With the support of the community, we were able to open first Myanmar Community and Cultural Center in San Francisco Bay Area for all community members regardless of their religious and political beliefs in 2014. See pictures of our Center's opening ceremony. The center represents unity among our members. We are so proud to help maintain the community center by being an information hub and having workshops, classes and events for any community member in San Francisco Bay Area.

On this birthday, we want to remind all. This community center is for all of you regardless of your beliefs or ethnic background. You are welcomed to come and use the center or help us make this center as a great place for SF Bay Area Burmese Americans by joining us. However, for OMC Team, the greatest gift from the community members, would be joining us if you are ready to contribute your talents and expertise with like-minded individuals.

Best wishes to all of us.
